What's on Kindle Unlimited
is a weekly meme I started to share new and old books in the Kindle
Unlimited program for readers (mainly romance) to be able to find their
next read a lot easier. I wanted readers to be able to have a place to
come to weekly for new books without having to wade through hundreds of
books. To see my original posts explaining more click here, here, here, here, here, and here and if you decide to share your own then please link back!!

WELCOME TO THE BEST OF 2017
With the end of the year upon, we've decided to share some of our favorites for the year of 2017. For the next five days, we will be posting THE BEST OF 2017 for five categories. Today, we're listing the BEST COVERS for 2017 AND they will be in no particular order because there's already so much pressure to narrow our list down to only a few choices, it would be even more of a struggle to decide which book cover gets the top spot. Without further ado, let's get to the winners!
ARI'S PICKS

DO YOU SEE MY BABIES BRISTOL AND MARLON JAMES ON THE COVER?! DO YOU SEE HOW HAPPY THEY ARE?! CAN YOU HEAR MY CRIES?!

I have a weakness for cover with hot guys in glasses. That was actually the main reason why I decided to read this book. I am so weak.

How sweet is this cover?! When the cover was first revealed for this book, I couldn't stop staring at it because it was so aesthetically pleasing to my soul. *DRAMATICS* I need to get my hands on a physical copy soon!

Main reason I love these covers so much: THE PUPPIES! You have these huge ass men with these adorable puppies and it's just like exploding ovaries everywhere! Especially for the cover of Stay. Look how he's sleeping so peacefully. *CRIES*

Hands-down my favorite book cover for 2017! I honestly can't even pinpoint why I love this book cover so much. Maybe it's the font? The warm colors? I don't know for sure but I have this baby displayed front and center on my shelf and my shelf has never looked better.
BRITT'S PICKS
Still by Kennedy Ryan
Y'all know I can't start any list about faves without mentioning my babies Grip and Bristol!! I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THEM ALL WRAPPED UP TOGETHER!! Her hand on his face, their faces so close together breathing each others air, the colors!! I BEEN SHOOK SINCE FLOW!!
What y'all know about Fig though?? I don't think I'll ever NOT be shook by the events of this book!! If you haven't read it then get on it. But I LOVE this cover!! The gray colors help convey the element of mystery in the book, the girl falling and her hair going all over and her hands trying to reach out help you feel the suspense. I just really love this cover!!
I know this cover might seem pretty simple but y'all I love it, and this book!! I feel like the character's legs being showed standing apart really represent what the book was about, and I feel like the their personalities are really shown through how they're dressed too!! LOVE!!
Y'all know I don't dabble into YA all that much, but I read American Street towards the beginning of the year and I loved it, and the cover!! The silhouette of the girl with the bright graffiti and flower overlaid can literally give you a summary of the book on first glance. It fits the story inside to a T, and I hope to one day be able to own my own physical copy to display on my shelf!!
*sighs* This cover may look kind of simple and maybe even weird to some but I love it!! I feel like looking at this cover I'm looking right at Darlene contemplate life, and trying to figure out Sawyer the Lawyer lol. There's something uniquely beautiful about it.
Ok so I lowkey have an issue with this one, not because of the cover itself, but because my kindle copy still shows the older original cover. Idk what's up with Amazon but I feel some kind of way lmao. I'm sure I can probably go into my account settings and see if there's an update for it, but ya girl is LAZY!! Anywho, the new covers for this series give me a bit of life. The dark colors, the kind of haziness going on, the models displayed with no faces showing. I live!! I can tell by looking at them that these are some dark mysterious stories. Now to stop being lazy and see if my copy can be updated haha!!

Best New-to-Me Authors || The Best of 2017
WELCOME TO THE BEST OF 2017
With the end of the year upon, we've decided to share some of our favorites for the year of 2017. For the next five days, we will be posting THE BEST OF 2017 for five categories. Today, we're listing the BEST NEW-TO-ME AUTHORS we read in 2017 AND they will be in no particular order because there's already so much pressure to narrow our list down to only a few choices, it would be even more of a struggle to decide which author gets the top spot. Without further ado, let's get to the winners!
ARI'S PICKS

Alessandra Torre is my new obsession! I swear, I will read this woman's grocery list because I bet even the damn list will have some suspense to it. From eroticas, to sweet and sexy contemporaries, to a mystery that kept me on my toes, there is no genre that Torre can't write. I keep waiting for the day I end up not loving one of her releases but I fear that day may never come and I ain't even mad about it.

If you want your heart ripped out and repeatedly stomped on, then check out Emma Scott's books. Britt actually introduced my to Scott's book and with her constant raving, I knew they had to be good. I will say, I don't think anything will every prepare you for the heartbreak one will endure while reading Scott's book, but the pain is so worth it. Her writing is absolutely captivating and all her stories have a message that will leave a mark on your heart.

Whitney G. is an author that my friend Deanna recommended to me and now I'm completely hooked on her books! Her romances have gotten me out of numerous reading slumps this year and they also make the perfect weekend read. I swear, Whitney G. is the only author who can make me fall in love with asshole heroes because I can't get enough of her men. They are just everything and I WANT THEM! I'm pretty sure Whitney G.'s book will continue to save my ass from reading slumps in the new year.

Looking for a feel good romance? Then look no further than Meghan Quinn. Her books are the perfect combination of funny and oh-so-sweet and she continues to surprise me with each new release. I am forever laughing up a storm when reading one of her books and my cheeks hurt from smiling to hard. I so plan on reading all her backlist titles, but I need Quinn to slow down her writing so I can play catch-up for a minute.

Kennedy Ryan came out of nowhere and her words have changed my bookworm life! Ryan is not afraid to go there and tackle subjects most writers don't even begin to explore. Her writing is so thought-provoking, emotional and so relatable, I'm sure you'll find a piece of yourself between these pages. Like y'all need to stop sleeping on my fave. Get your life together and go binge-read all of her books. Make it a New Year's Resolution!
BRITT'S PICKS
Kennedy Ryan
Kennedy Ryan really pushed through this year and snatched all my edges out like wtf?! I've been bald headed since I read Flow and Grip, then she came back for more with Still. I had heard of her before here and there but this year is the year that I got to discover her amazing writing!! I mean, she can write her ass off!! And I will always appreciate, love, and be thankful for the fact that she took such a huge risk and not only wrote a BLACK male love interest, but also talked about racial issues within the black community. Diversity is always so needed in all aspects of life and I think it's more than amazing that she's one of the many authors that are bringing more color into the genre!! I'll be devouring her previous series in 2018, and then not so patiently waiting for her new release!!
Emma Scott
Kandi Steiner
Leisa Rayven
Pepper Winters
So, Emma Scott brutally ripped out my heart at the beginning of this year when I read her Full Tilt duology and although I was crying thug tears, I instantly fell in love with her writing!! And then I got Ari to get her heart ripped out too so we could be twins in pain lmao!! Since then I've read one other of her books and I'm still in awe at how amazing she is at crafting such heartfelt stories. I snagged like all of her books on sale recently so I will definitely be binging them in the coming year because I am obsessed!!
Kandi Steiner
Yo, Kandi Steiner gave me all the drama filled, messiness this year with her Palm South University series and lemme tell y'all, I was LIVING for it!! I felt like I was watching my fave reality tv show and I can't wait for the next season because I NEED ANSWERS!!
Leisa Rayven
I recently read Mister Romance by Rayven and it was so good!! I instantly fell in love with not only the story-line, but also with her writing!! It was so much fun to read, and it was easy to get into. The characters were on point, and I'm so ready to dive into her Starcrossed series because I know that so many other people adore it and I'm eager to read more of her writing.
Pepper Winters
As you all know I recently read my first ever book by Pepper Winters and pretty much fell in love with it, and her deliciously dark writing. I've heard and seen others reading her for years now and would always say I was going to read one of her books, and I FINALLY did it this year!! I CANNOT wait to read her other books (she has a pretty extensive catalogue so yay!!), and see how dark her other stories get.

Best Leading Ladies || The Best of 2017
WELCOME TO THE BEST OF 2017
With the end of the year upon, we've decided to share some of our favorites for the year of 2017. For the next five days, we will be posting THE BEST OF 2017 for five categories. Today, we're listing the BEST LEADING LADIES for 2017 AND they will be in no particular order because there's already so much pressure to narrow our list down to only a few choices, it would be even more of a struggle to decide which female lead gets the top spot. Without further ado, let's get to the winners!
ARI'S PICKS

Character with the most growth throughout a series has got to go to Bristol Gray. Not gonna lie, she was very naive when we first met her but she's grown so much and has come to understand the struggles people of color face everyday. She is not a woman to be trifled with and will give you hell if you hurt the ones she loves. I admire Bristol's strength because most people would've thrown in the towel when the going got tough, but she stood up to those who doubted her relationship with Marlon and I have the utmost respect for a woman like her.

Poppy Cruz is hands-down my favorite heroine ever. LIKE EVER! The girl went through hell and back, lost herself, almost fucking died and she came out a winner by the end. She earned her damn happily-ever-after and I was so happy to see her finally move on with her life and learn how to love again with some help from Wheeler. I'M CRYING ALL OVER AGAIN JUST THINKING ABOUT THEM!

Helena Ross is one of the most complex heroines I've read about this year. She's a character you will either love or hate, but her story moved me to tears and even though she may have gotten on my nerves a few times, I have a lot of respect for her. I don't want to give away anymore details to ruin this book so just go read it to meet her yourselves.

Lily Lamprey has to be one of the most underestimated characters I have ever met. Dare I say that I too underestimated her. People write her off as being nothing more than a pretty face, but the girl has layers and peel back those layers and you’ll find a person who is determined to prove everyone wrong. Her never-give-up attitude is what I loved most about her and more people need to read this book so they too can see how amazing Lily is!

I loved Sadia the moment she was introduced in Hate to Want You and I was so excited to see her get a second shot at love. She is such a great mama and a supportive sister and is willing to help anyone who asks. Sadia also has a wild side, which I was totally here for but I think her flaws are what I love most about her because they make her so relatable. There is no one who will be able to resist Sadia's charm and y'all definitely need to add this book to your TBR if you haven't done so already!
BRITT'S PICKS
Bristol Gray

Kacey Dawson
Y'all are probably getting tired of me and Ari having the same thing on our first picks but I'M SORRY Y'ALL BUT THESE ARE OUR BABIES OK!!
But seriously though the growth in Bristol from Flow to Grip is just AMAZING!! In a time where people shy away from race relations and anything having to do with other cultures, Bristol made it her mission to understand Grip as best as she could!! She was determined to always learn about different issues that were important to him, and she always made an effort no matter how hard it was. She really and truly loved everything about Grip, even if it took a bit for her to understand something, and I really admire the growth in her from beginning to end.

Kacey Dawson
Kacey went through A LOT!! Like
A
LOT!
And even though she had to stumble and struggle a bit she was able to pull herself up and live another day. When she loved someone she loved hard, she was tough, but she also had a lot of venerability about her that showed that she was still human, Hell, everything she went through and overcame showed she was a human with faults, and she never let anything hold her back. Her strength and resiliency was so great and she deserved all the happiness!!
I wanna be like Nicole when I grow up!! Seriously y'all I loved her sooooo much!! She was a confident black women that went after every single one of her goals, and she didn't let anyone, or anything stop her!! She was headstrong in everything she did, and her fierce determination was EVERYTHING!! Plus she got Jordan!! I feel like although Romance is becoming more diverse, there is still a ways to go, but thank goodness for the great characters that we are getting. There's nothing like reading about a character that looks like YOU, talks like YOU, and that YOU can totally relate too!! Nicole never stopped the fact that she was a woman, let alone a black woman stop hold her back in her male dominated field and I think it's so important to showcase that type of character in a genre geared towards women.
Kennedy became one of my favorite characters this year and I loved everything about her. She was a character that gave to others so freely and so selflessly, and never once stopped to worry about herself. She sacrificed so much to give her daughter the best life possible filled with all the love she could give, and when Jonathan came back into their lives, she put aside her feelings on their history so that their daughter could get to know her father. I loved seeing her change and open up as the story progressed and and I urge everyone to read this so they can experience all the feels!!
Darlene was not only hilarious but she had the biggest heart of gold. She was a flawed woman with a past but she refused to let it hold her back, and she refused to let anyone else judge her by it. The way that she not only loved Sawyer with all of his grumpiness and slowness to open up, but she selflessly loved his daughter as well. I don't think Sawyer could've fell for a more perfect woman, and the little family they all created seriously had me tearing up!!

Best Book Boyfriends || The Best of 2017
WELCOME TO THE BEST OF 2017
With the end of the year upon, we've decided to share some of our favorites for the year of 2017. For the next five days, we will be posting THE BEST OF 2017 for five categories. Today, we're listing the BEST BOOK BOYFRIENDS for 2017 AND they will be in no particular order because there's already so much pressure to narrow our list down to a few choices, it would be even more of a struggle to decide which book boyfriend gets the top spot. Without further ado, let's get to the winners!
ARI'S PICKS

Oh Aaron Walters, how I love thee, let me count the ways! Aaron is like a big teddy bear. He is so sweet and caring and selfless. He's good with his hands (if you catch my drift) and he's a great friend. I very much enjoyed seeing the little boy who grew up with no love at all find someone who loved him for who he was.

Look at my boo, Lance Romance! Lance definitely lives up to his nickname...and I mean who can resist a guy with an accent? It's funny because I definitely pegged him for an asshole but he's actually very sweet (when he wants to be). I've already read this book like four times for this year because that's how much I love this guy.

I have a soft spot for military hero which is why Andrew stole my heart from the moment he first landed on the page. He's so sweet like I can't deal! I like the fact that family was so important to him and how much respect he had for his father, even though they didn't always see eye-to-eye. Andrew totally reminded me of why I love military heroes so much and I need to get back to reading romances with military heroes next year!

Logan St. James, you sweet, protective lil thing you. Okay so he's not little at all, BUT Y'ALL Emma Chase definitely spent a little more time on Logan before she share him with her readers. He may have some protective armor guarding his heart, but I loved seeing him let his guard down when it came to Ellie. Honestly, Logan is lowkey a big softie underneath all them muscle and I hope we still get to see him in the spin-off series.

So Britt is gonna let me have a moment with her man because dammit we both know deserves to be on both of our lists! Marlon James aka Grip is everything I've ever wanted in a book boyfriend and more. He has talent. He is considerate and patient. He is so damn smart that I wish I could have a conversation with him in real life! This man is just perfection and I don't think any other hero will ever live up to all this greatness.
BRITT'S PICKS
Marlon James
Are we even surprised by this?? If you are then you obviously don't know me very well lmao!! I let Ari have her little time to shine but never forget that Grip is ALLLLL MINE!! I could go on and on about why I love him so much but I'm sure y'all know by now hahah. He's caring, passionate, woke, and just so damn sexy!! I need a very close version of him to pop up in ya girl's life so I can be great lmao!!
Ari is still being hardheaded and hasn't read this book yet, despite my rec, so I get to keep Jordan all to myself for a bit longer (yaass). Jordan is everything you'd want in a boo. Strong, athletic, passionate, and downright dirty when the time calls for it. His caring nature came through so many times whether it was for his family, his friends and teammates, or for this boo Nicole. Something about a strong chocolate, athletic man being a teddy bear deep down inside for his girl had my heart melting!! I also need a real life version of him to pop up in my life because I love him sooooo much!!
Now Johnathan was not without fault and he had a lot of demons to overcome, but once he got his life on track again, he didn't let anything get in the way of him getting his family back. Watching him come back with so much determination to be in his daughter's life and be a father that she could depend on and be proud of had my ass so emotional at times because it was just so beautiful to read. And watching him prove to Kennedy that he could be the best man to her as well after their history had my heart gushing. EVERYONE GO READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SO WE CAN ALL GUSH TOGETHER OK?!
*SIGHS* Another headstrong daddy that made my heart melt. Sawyer was such a man lemme tell you!! The sacrifices he made for his little girl were so commendable, and the pure love he had for her was just so damn beautiful to read about. And once he started to let Darlene in he opened up so much and I fell even more in love with his character. He deserved all the happiness that found him!!
Is it the costumes that he has in his collection, or the fact that he can drop an Irish accent at the drop of a hat? Whatever it is I was so down with it when reading about Max!! The lengths he was willing to go to to make sure that women felt loved and admired was something that let me know Max knew how a woman wanted to be loved. Yeah it wasn't the most traditional job, but it was a labor of love (haha), and his passion for it was admirable. And I mean who doesn't want a book bf with such talents?? Never a dull moment with this guy.
