Title: Mister Romance

Author: Leisa Rayven

Publication Date: April 30, 2017

My Rating:★★★★½
Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.

As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York's socialites can't get enough.  Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he's careful to keep his real identity a secret.

Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.

Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn't fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.

Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

Don’t miss this sizzling new standalone from the internationally best selling author of Bad Romeo, Broken Juliet, and Wicked Heart.

Eden Tate is stuck in a major rut on her job. Instead of writing serious investigative pieces that would put her hard work and education to use, she's stuck writing endless fluff articles. It seems like no matter what she does or how hard she tries she can't get her boss to take her seriously enough to be given more serious articles.

After getting a hit on a story that involves a mystery man that has big clientele of wealthy socialites she's very intrigued. Especially when she learns that he makes all their wildest dreams and fantasies come true, all without any sexual contact she's even more into it all. Telling her boss that she plans to expose this man for the scammer that she believes him to be, he decides to finally throw her a bone and give her this shot to prove herself.

Getting to this infamous man isn't easy at all but once she gets contact with him she finally gets to see who this Mister Romance is in person. She's determined to keep him at arms length and only focus on getting all the info for her story, but what if there's more to him than meets the eye?

Mister Romance a.k.a. Max Riley has built up quite the reputation among New York's elite and although it's not the most traditional job in the world he has no shame in what he does. He's proud of the work he does because he knows that he's making these neglected lonely women feel wanted again, and in time this turns into confidence and power, something they haven't had in a long time. After meeting with him they get all that they need in order to make it another day in their stifling lives. When he finds out Eden is lurking around trying to find info on him he decides to bite a bit. And once he gets a good grasp on what she wants he's hesitant at first because keeping his client's information safe is his biggest priority. In the end he tells her that he'll give her the info she wants for her stories if she agrees to act as one of his clients so she can get the full effect.

He knows that she's someone that doesn't believe in love for whatever reasons and he wants to dig deep into her mind and show her that it's possible to be intimate with someone without having sex. But what he doesn't bargain for are the feelings that start to surface. The question is, can he get this woman with the cynical heart to take a chance on them?

I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about Leisa Rayevn's writing for years now, and this year when Mister Romance came out everyone was raving all over again. When I finally got the chance to pick up this book I had some expectations, but I also wasn't quite sure what I could be in for. I knew that I would get something cute and fun, and hopefully I was hoping to have a great reading experience with a new author. Thankfully I got all of that and more!!

First off I really loved the plot of this book, I was a but nervous about having a male mc who's main job is to somewhat please other women, but I have to say the whole scenario in this book worked well for me. Max was such an interesting and fun character and I loved reading about just how far he'd go to make his clients feel good, all without any sexual contact. The focus on how intimate interactions could be based on good conversation and just pure attention to the simple things the can often be overlooked in a relationship was really nice to see played out. His biggest goal in life was to make sure that these forgotten lonely women felt good was actually kinda special to read about even though the whole concept may sound weird but it worked for me.

Eden was also another great character. She was feisty, headstrong, and she knew what she wanted out of life and refused to let anyone or anything get in her way. But she also went hard for the people in her life that she really cared for. I love a strong heroine that never backs down, but still has a vulnerability about them that keeps them human and easy to relate to. Eden was definitely all of that, and I really enjoyed reading about her.

The banter and relationship between these two from the beginning was so much fun to read about and I found myself smiling at a lot of the scenes, and definitely swooning for Max and the dates he created for them. Seeing the lengths he would go to for everything he created was so interesting because he went ALL OUT!! Max was extremely dedicated to his job and I salute him lmao.

If you're in the mood for a super cute and light romance that's fun to read from beginning to end then you really need to hop on this one!! You'll have so much fun reading about Max and his job, and I guarantee that you'll swoon hard for him. I cannot wait to read more of Rayven's books in the future!!
