Synopsis via Goodreads: The most beautiful man I've ever seen is the one who can ruin everything...

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he’ll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent and thousand dollar shoes, he’s just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants.

And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle’s estate.

I can’t afford either one. I’m the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system. He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful -- pure desperation. This temp job at his mother’s company can become a full time job for me. It has to.

But when Callan’s eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I’ve become.

And it works--if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can't afford to get sucked into his high-powered family’s treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can’t forget this is temporary. He’s temporary. I have too much to lose.

Too bad my foolish heart didn’t get the memo...

*I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

Grace Kerrington hopes to turn her temp job into a more permanent position when she takes on a personal task for the CEO of Walker Holdings. Victoria Walker has hired Grace to handle the personal effects of her deceased brother, however getting the job done becomes a challenge when she finds Callan Walker, Victoria's son, occupying his uncle's apartment. She's not quite sure the Aussie hottie is up to, but she's not letting anything stand in her way of a possible promotion...not even her own heart.

One of my favorite authors has teamed up with a new-to-me author to bring a standalone romance that will leave you wanting more. Temporary is a hate-to-love romance about two individuals who, despite their differences, are a perfect fit for one another. I already love Sarina's writing and at this point, I'm convinced that no matter who her writing partner is, she will never fails to deliver a feel-good romance. Although Sarah may be a new-to-me author, I'm already loving her writing style and the Aussie flare she has brought to this romance. This is the first book I've read where a character is from Australia so I very much enjoyed seeing the little Aussie quirks.

Grace is a selfless and hardworking go-getter who has been dealt a crappy hand, yet she still continues to push forward. She puts her own dreams aside in order to provide a better life for herself and her younger sister. She's really is such a great big sister. I adored Grace's relationship with Olivia and even though they may fight, they still have each other's back no matter what. I was totally charmed by Callan. The Aussie hero may be a big flirt, but underneath that playboy facade is a caring and generous man who only wants to do right by his uncle. I was not expecting this "nice guy" side of Callan and it just made me love him even more. The chemistry between Grace and Callan is very obvious from the start, but it does take some time for the fireworks go off as Grace is very hesitant to take things to the next level, with good reasons of course. But when they do go off, it's explosive!!

The only think I disliked about this book was the ending. It was open-ended and I personally found it to be a little awkward considering I went into this book thinking it was a standalone. The little twist left the possibility for there to a sequel and I really do hope that there is a sequel because I need the tea on that twist.

Temporary is a sweet and angsty romance by a promising new author duo and I'm excited to see what Sarina and Sarah have in store for us next. I'm totally here for more Aussies heroes as Callan has definitely left an impression on me and I need more male MCs like him to swoon over. I'm crossing my fingers for a sequel and hopefully this duo will deliver!
