WELCOME TO THE NEW ROMANTICS BLOG!
ARI: So I'm sure many of you are wondering what this is all about? Well lately, I've been feeling run-down when it comes to blogging and haven't been loving it like I used to. It's become more of a chore than anything else and I was honestly contemplating just pulling the plug and saying sayonara to blogging for good. A few weeks ago, a couple of my blogger friends and I were talking about how difficult it has become balancing blogging, school work, a career and just life in general. I threw out the option of finding a co-blogger and my friend Britt said that was something she was thinking about too. But it was our friend Kelly who cemented the deal and The New Romantics Blog was born! (And yes, this blog is named after a Taylor Swift song.)
I'm so excited about this new venture and I'm even more excited that I get to co-blog with a badass blogger like Britt. I can't wait to gush about all the romance books and happily-ever-afters! I even plan on reviewing more darker-themed books which is something I don't usually do on my own blog. I've always wanted to review more books like these and now I'm taking that chance. I also plan on being more unfiltered in my reviews because I honestly just want to have fun with this and that's what blogging should be...FUN! I can't wait for you all to see what Britt and I have planned for this new blog.
Also, shout out to our friend Kelly who helped create all of our graphics and who also answered all of my silly HTML questions. You are the best Kelly and this blog launch wouldn't have been possible without you and your creative eye.
BRITT: First things first, welcome to the new blog, and thank you to everyone that is taking the time out of their day to come and visit!! I can't even begin to describe how excited I am to be writing this post!! As you can all see from what Ari said, The New Romantics was born from us feeling a bit uninspired and stuck with our blogging lives. Although we still loved reading to death, we felt like the spark needed to come back with the blogging aspects. We're both so excited to get this thing popping, and have all the fun reading and raving (and dragging) books together. I hope you guys are ready for some fun and petty times because I know we are!!
Through blogging I've been able to make so many amazing friends who I can not only gush about books with, but also just talk about life in general. Ari is such an amazing blogger (I'm pretty sure she's lowkey superwoman lol), and I know that this new blog is going to be so damn fun together!! So thank you to Ari for even wanting to try out co-blogging with me, and also a HUGE shoutout to our other friends who have been super supportive while we got this all organized. Especially our boo Kelly!! Not only did she push us to give it a chance, but she also took time out of many days to help us with creating our graphics, and tweaking so much HTML for us. I know we were probably very picky at times but she was so patient with us until our vision finally came to life. Without her our blog would be looking like a basic bitch lmao!!
