Synopsis via Goodreads: No last names. No life stories. Those were the rules.

Once upon a time a cocky, copper-haired tourist sauntered into Zara’s bar. And even though she knew better, Zara indulged in a cure for the small-town blues. It was supposed to be an uncomplicated fling—a few sizzling weeks before he went back to his life, and she moved on.

Until an accidental pregnancy changed her life.

Two years later, she’s made peace with the notion that Dave No-Last-Name will never be found. Until one summer day when he walks into her coffee shop, leveling her with the same hot smile that always renders her defenseless.

Dave Beringer has never forgotten the intense month he spent with prickly Zara. Their nights together were the first true intimacy he’d ever experienced. But the discovery of his child is the shock of a lifetime, and his ugly past puts relationships and family out of reach.

Or does it? Vermont’s countryside has a way of nurturing even tortured souls. The fields and the orchards—and hard won love—are Bountiful.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIES IS BACK!

Bittersweet was the first book I read by Sarina Bowen and it's where my infatuation with her words started. I fell completely head-over-heels in love with the True North series last year and I hoped, just hoped, that there was a possibility that the series would be expanded in the future. And then Bowen dropped the news about Zara's book and I was screaming because my wish had come true! The news got even better when Bowen said that the Zara's love interest would be a Brooklyn Bruiser hockey player. A mash-up of two of my favorite series? SIGN ME UP, PLEASE!

Big city New York meets small town Vermont in Bountiful, the latest installment in the True North series and follows our two main characters, Zara Rossi and Dave Beringer. The two meet when Dave walks into Zara's bar and the pair hit it off. But what was meant to be nothing more than a summer fling becomes complicated when Zara finds out that she is pregnant. Two years later and Zara has adjusted to life as a single mother and has given up hope on ever seeing Dave again...that is until Dave comes walking back into her life. Hello, complicated...

Oh how I've missed Vermont. The small towns. The fruit orchards. My fave book family, the Shipleys! Sarina Bowen has once again written a simple and sweet romance and even though I'm not a huge fan of the "surprise pregnancy" plot line, I do love romances that involve munchkins. We also have the Brooklyn Bruisers cameos! I loved seeing my faves again, although I could've done with a bit more scenes with Leo, but I did enjoy getting to know more about the other players, like Castro who definitely has a story to tell, I can feel it.

I clicked with Zara's character immediately because she reminds me of myself. She's very independent, a bit of a spit-fire and she has her guard up 24/7. She's rough around the edges but I felt like becoming a mother softened those edges up and I liked seeing her slowly let those let her guard down and accept help from Dave. It took a while for Dave to grow on me. Dave is very much a bachelor-type guy and he was a little childish at the beginning, but I liked how he stepped up and took responsibility of his actions. I also adore, COMPLETELY ADORE, every scene with baby Nicole. She is so sweet and lovable and I'm such a sucker for books with children.

ME AT EVERY SCENE WITH BABY NICOLE

The only thing that I felt was lacking when it came to this book was the development of the romance. I liked Zara and Dave together, but I felt like things came way too easy for them considering that neither of these two have ever been in a stable relationship before. Both Zara and Dave have a lot of baggage and I didn't feel like either of them discussed their baggage enough. When Zara found out about Dave's childhood, instead of talking about what he went through, Dave kind of shuts down the conversation and that's the end of it. Zara's issues aren't brought up at all. I just wanted these two to get to know each other a little bit more before then fell into a relationship.

Bountiful was yet another heartwarming installment to the True North series and I can't wait for the next book...and yes we HAVE TO HAVE to be more books because Ben, Alec, Castro, Bess and May all deserve their stories told and I won't settle for less!
